DigitalFilipino Club - IMMAP Discussion Briefing on Online Sales Promotion with DTI

One of the hot issues online today is promotions happening on social networks and websites, organized by companies and individuals, that doesn't have purchase requirements. In the past, these are assumed not requiring DTI Sales Promotion Permit.

However, due to various issues arising on these promotions, where some don't go very well, these no-purchase-required campaigns are beginning to be seen as "goodwill building" type of activities and therefore may now be required to have a DTI Sales Promotion Permit.

On the same level, bloggers and online personalities organize their own goodwill building activities where they give away prizes either as sponsored or items bought / cash prize given by themselves. More than ever, clarity on DTI Sales Promotion Permit process is necessary in these online promotion scenarios.

There are also instances where information of contest joiners get shared online without regard to data privacy that brings worry on the information handling of online contest managers and organizers.

The DigitalFilipino Club, in collaboration with the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP), shall have a "Discussion Briefing on Online Sales Promotion" with the Department of Trade and Industry this July 28 Thursday from 1 to 6 pm in Makati City (sponsored by IMMAP).

Agenda as follows:
1. DTI - Welcome remarks / introduction of participants (1:45 to 2 pm)
2. Online promotion landscape - corporate (2 pm to 3:00 pm)
3. Online promotion landscape - individual (3 pm to 4:00 pm)
4. DTI Sales Promotion Permit guidelines (4:00 to 5:00 pm)

Each topic will have an allotted time for question and answer discussion.

Note that the DigitalFilipino Club only has 15 slots in this event.

In that regard, only those who are willing to share links on promotions you have done that I can use in preparing the DTI brief shall be able to attend this.

Club members are requested to send me an e-mail reply (or use this contact form) with your past or current online promotion. Once done, will send venue details.
